Dear neighbors,
I'll be away for two-three weeks when the sun rises~ : )
During this period, i may not be able to go online as conveniently due to poor internet connection and i will definitely be missing you lots! Hope to catch up with your life bits when I'm back after 2-3 weeks but i'll try my best to check for your updates as often as I can. Meanwhile, i'll still be thinking much of Arashi everyday~~
See you again soon!

My big hugs to everyone who has been so kind to share your thoughts and bear with my ramblings in 2008!!
There's just so much that i'd like to pen down before it reaches midnight in another thirty minutes but i guess sometimes, the best moments are best left to savor in our hearts... (so much for an excuse not to post my "old" thoughts kept in my private document folder on my computer! well, trust me, the file is soooo long that you won't wanna read them after the first line ne~ haha...)
To keep it short so that we can all run out in time for countdown (i've only 15min left),
THANK YOU so much for being around and being just who you are. : )
May you be filled with happiness and joy in every second of your life~~
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

My friends and I were thinking of taking a positive approach to life today and we wanted to watch "Yes Man" (yup! you're right. There's Jim Carrey, whose movies i've not seen for years... even when people raved about The Truman Show and its strong reflection about existentialism (which I upheld for a duration of my life), i only caught a glimpse of it when it was shown on tv. Too bad it didn't quite ignite my interest for his movies). So after having cakes and tea, we went to try our luck on this xmas afternoon for tickets but we shook our heads when we were given the second row from the screen. Gosh, i'd never be cruel to my own neck and spine again after having been there and watched movies that made me ended up like Nino, who couldn't raise his head up to look at the ceiling during the filming of the Beautiful days PV, for days. (sorry for the silly unintended pun.) That was certainly not my style---i'm not M, at least not do-M.
Well, the 1 out of 2 movies that still have good side seats was Twilight. I've watched that and unfortunately, that's certainly not something that i'm going to suggest that you try for unless you're a super big fan of the book series already, or a fan of the actors or actresses in there... because if not, you may end up like me, who is neither a young teen nor have any prior knowledge of the story and movie plot (I only saw from a trailer that someone was not human), will not be able to enjoy the "kyaaa~" (squeals) and giggles everytime a young actor is introduced... My inability to fit into the majority of the audience crowd kinda stressed me a little but i guess if the Rolling Stone Mag's Hottest Actor of 2008 strikes you as good looking, then he's all yours.
Since i've already watched one of our best seats options for the evening, we bought tickets for Australia. I like Kidman and my other friends liked Wolverine and were too surprised to hear that Hugh Jackman is the male protagonist in the poster cos they didn't quite look out for this title... Nevertheless, we went straight to our seats in 15min and wondered how this whole story may be. Seriously, we had no idea what it was about except that it must have something to do about the country.
After 2.5h of sitting at my seat, however, I didn't feel bored by the whole movie at all... in fact, i think the story was brought out in a nice pace. There were scenes that have "picture book"-like atmosphere to it while most other parts were more real... I feel that the director, Baz Luhrmann, did a good job in general, esp in editing and the cinematography (though i wished the effects were more intricately done). Besides bringing in humor and romance into the story (i guess this is a common combo nowadays), what i particularly enjoyed about this movie was the way the script writers depicted the possibilities of traditions, such as shaman magic and the miracles of music and sounds, the wisdom of the ancestors (in this case, the aborigines) vs the narrowmindedness of a self-proclaimed "civilized" society who were the ones that invaded the land of others.
I personally feel that this is a movie that females, esp feminists would enjoy---the lady possesses inner strength, wisdom, compassion and a sense of justice where such qualities emerge at necessary times, while still retaining her strong feminity throughout. Of course, we get torn sometimes when pride comes too quickly and you would regret being so curt at that moment... No doubt, the female protagonist paid her price but as an audience, we get to see that through her character, some issues may be untackled naturally by possessing true love for all living things.
There are so much to read from this movie that i'd love to share but guess I should halt... Maybe if you watched it, we could talk about it on a side note. For parents, this may be a movie that will help reconsider what our love for our children is... and maybe sometimes, it means letting go of their hands at times to let them grow stronger and blossom...
If you've time for a movie, maybe you'd consider watching Australia? Hmm, there's certainly good humor (which most of us enjoyed throughout), the romance between two good looking persons, a scheming plot, human nature, plus some historical and cultural knowledge to offer. By the way, i think all of them acted well and esp "King George"!
Anyway, may you find this movie interesting. ; )
P.s. For the male audience, Kidman is simply gorgeous and cute (in her own way).

yippee~~ I feel so free~ finally!
although there are still stuff awaiting for me to finish, but i've decided to give myself a worry-free weekend after handing in something important today and catch up with all the sleep that I've been missing.
anyway it's been more than ten days since I checked back properly for everyone's updates and Arashi's happenings...
hope everyone's well and is enjoying every moment of your life ♥
many thanks to my arashi buddy who has been dl-ing most of the bangumi for me all these while
and keeping my soul alive as I strive on
lastly, could i just declare that i'm totally in awe of サッション's bigheartedness and silliness?
I can't help but be totally amused by his audition for pipe catching...
his butt-ful knock down of the camera-man while flying off the (fake) cliff...
be tricked and poked on the cheek by a camera-man on tv...
did not even pretend to have sung A.RA.SHI in Mandarin & thanked god that you weren't being picked out by Nakai...
and laughing at himself when being made fun of by other members for being overly prim and proper.
(although i never understood why you would need to apply eyeliner....)
That 元々で出来ない子 just won my heart again. ♥
anyway i think my two hours of sleep last night is giving me high tension at this hour...
i'd better go to bed now, somehow!

Nino was right!
This week's Ryuusei no Kizuna is as what he has said in the recent "Channel 6"
Whether you have been watching the drama or will begin with the upcoming Episode 4,
you will enjoy it ★
It's true!! Although this episode is starting to show more differences from the novel,
i really enjoyed Kouichi when he's indulging in his own fantasies...
and trust him to role play! haha...
In the last scene, I was very moved by the look in their eyes
perhaps more than my own imagination when reading the novel.
I can't wait to know how Kudo-san's story will deviate from the novel, well, maybe not a deviation but how he'll be reconstructing the whole plot to make it more lively.... Now after finishing the whole novel, i can see why Kudo-san has been asked to do an adaptation of the story.
Hope everyone's enjoying the drama too!
P.s. i'm so looking forward to Mika Nakashima's appearance again. ;D

Was last night's utaban a special episode on Arashi?
It seemed more they were trying to do an in-depth interview with each member and i was rolling with laughter quite loudly (I think) throughout the whole talk with Taka-san and Nakai-san at 3:30am!! hopefully i didn't wake my neighbours up... but nonetheless, i think they'll forgive someone who finds such joy in the middle of the night. ;D
I really appreciate Taka-san for asking the boys to sing A.RA.SHI in Korean and Mandarin! They were all so cute trying to perform correctly... Aiba-chan totally wins my vote as the most kawaii performer (of course, together with his recent kakkoii fashion as an English boy)!! XDD
BTW, did Sho-kun ever mention how he broke the plate from Hakone? I thought he talked about it some time ago...? (Hmm, maybe it's my imagination that he did. ^^)
P.s. I'm amazed at myself when i could read most of the kanji on fishes! Must have learned them through osmosis from eating all sorts of sushi... Finally i found one advantage of being a glutton ne. ; ) haha....
P.p.s. Thanks to sableheart for uploading this really fast so that i will be able to have sweet dreams tonight.
